This site is home to data for a variety of projects that are in intermediate
states of progress, and for that reason there is no particular effort made
to make anything all glossy and tidy.
project: process
A variety of ways of thinking about the mundane and the routine,
including supply chain management, queue handling, kanban, quality
control, feedback loops, and other control systems ideas are in
the process project.
project: book
One of these days I expect I'll write a book. When I do, it will
be because I will have learned from the grueling experience that various
colleagues, friends, and acquaintances have gone through to do the same.
Books, publishing, writing guidelines, structures, rhetoric, style, editors,
deadlines, and all of that fall under the book

Maps of various networks and in various styles including geological,
railroad, highway, utility, shipping, and telecommunications are the aim
of the maps

Studies of the human brain, cognition, psychology, psychiatry, memory,
thinking, consciousness, reasoning, organic diseases of the brain, and
other related topics are the goal of the mind

project: newsletter
The Internet newsletter is an art form that is being practiced by a number
of people who do it well (and any number who will be mercifully ignored
who do it poorly). References, links, archives, tools, ideas, addresses,
reviews, and pointers to same are all fair game for the newsletter
