In 1642 Thomas Fuller wrote that A common-place-book contains many notions in garrison, whence the owner may draw out an army into the field. The name indicates a common place for the thoughtsour own and others' we find worth keeping, a collection of commonplaces seen or making us see in a new way, and in this case, a shared space or common place for others to visit as well.
This commonplace book is still small. I've included a page with some of my favorite quotes on it, which will (indirectly) tell you a little more about me.
