4. "Computational Simulation of Structural System Response to Extreme Loading" Presented at Warsaw University of Technology and Krakow University of Technology during a tour of Poland in June 2005 (as part of an NSF-funded US-Poland cooperative research program).
5. "Role of Nonlinear Analysis in Structural Engineering." Presented during a special ceremony at the 150th Anniversary of the American Society of Civil Engineers to commemorate the Norman Medal, the oldest award given by ASCE.
