Typed statement due at the
beginning of class Wednesday, January 11. One page or less.
One page or less commenting on
the first readings. (See link at right.) Other assignments will be more
structured. This is open-ended except you should do the following:
1) Focus on ethical claims in the selections. Cite exact claims, perhaps by
quoting.
2) Comment on the claim (perhaps
overall theme of the selection) that you think, of all the selection, is most
interesting or insightful. Perhaps it is one you strongly agree with or just
think is especially important to consider. Comment on what you find INTERESTING
about it: why you strongly agree or
simply why you think it is especially important. Be sure you are focusing on an
ETHICAL issue.
3) This can be an alternative or in addition to #2 above. Comment on the ethical claim or theme in one of the selections that you most strongly disagree with and believe should be strongly opposed. Explain.
