Lady Sarah and I rehashed what we'd learned. Apparently many years ago, my grandmother led a revolt within her church to remove an infection, a man called "Ethore." This man apparently still has followers to this very day (2000 years later!) and they wished to reclaim the church through my mother. Distasteful, but at least I now had the answers I had rode for in what seems so long ago. Time to talk again with Grandmother.
Cordelia seems to be acclimating to life here -- where as I was initially skeptical about what would happen to her here, it seems as if this land is allowing her to bloom. She seems more confident here than the waif that I found in the Shadow-land. The others are a bit harder to read -- and Mythos was nowhere to be found. Alas.
After a long conversation with my mother, she expressed no real desire to leave this land any time soon -- not that I can blame her. She will need many days to reform the bond with her lost mother. I, however, have not that need to stay, and so I will stay if for no other reason than to watch out for her safety. She seemed happy with that decision. After this, I took a ride along the borders and talked to several militia men about they defenses of this place.
It seems that there are two groups of defenders -- Paladins, affiliated with the Church, and the King's armed forces. There is not any real bridge between the too, though. Unfortunate, that.
