Meters in Chinese Verse This project documents the range of meter types in
Chinese verse, especially modern folk verse. It will also discuss why some
meter types are found but others do not, and why some meter types are more
common than others. Here is a corpus of regulated Tang poems (788 lines). I have annotated the
syntax and word categories by hand. An analysis is offered in Duanmu (2004 in
Phonology). Sounds and Features This is a project on feature
theory, with a focus on features as contrastive gestures and their time
alignment in different phonological positions (e.g. onset vs. coda). |
