What amendment would you like to see added to the Constitution?
The answers (in order recieved):
The right to be euthanized. (spelling?) After several weeks of
discussion and debate on this topic in philosophy, I cane to the conclusion
that a person should have a right to die.
No republicans in congress
I'm not up on all there is to know about the
constitution; so my very uneducated answer would
have to be: "The Mind Your Own Business" amendment
this could be applied to any aspect of the
Constitution. If I personally don't agree with
what others are doing; I don't do it. And simply
hope that others can be educated to make the
best decision for themselves. I don't judge
others for what I believe is the right or wrong
thing to do.... simply try to understand the view.
Two points. One: How about a NICE amendment
that enforces the Tenth Amendment. Two: An
amendment that forces the government to actually
be nice, courteous, and helpful instead of
being the evil slothful bastards they are now.
Not that I am bitter, but my contempt for the
idiocies of government is ever-increasing.
The Equal Rights Amendment. It's time. Time is
overdue, actually.
An amendment stipulating mandatory service to your
country (wheter military, peace corps, or otherwise)
for all citizens; after high-school, or at age 18.
You're KIDDING! right?? hmm..this could be fun
Internet access for free in every house? nah..
too much censorship needed for that.
I think we should change the presidency
to a seven-year term.
An amendment that changes the way the death penalty works.
You get a membership card for the Human Race.
Just like with Totin' Chip in the Boy Scouts,
if you do something stupid, you get a corner cut.
If you run out of corners, they kill you.
Stupid things qualify as anything like killing someone,
unless it's justified. Or having 16 items in
the express line of the checkout.
One of those amendments that requires you not
to suck.
Freedom to do whatever the hell you feel like doing as
long as the only person it may harm is you.
My answer:
An amendment repealing the 2nd amendment. Citizens with muskets is one
thing. Gang members with Uzis is another.
