Where should I go for a four day vacation in late November?

The answers (in order recieved):

  • I like Arizona, personally, although I'm not sure what you do if you don't have family there. Boston is nice too.

  • Ever been to New York City? Four days is just about enough time to see what you want to see, and short enough that you get to spend the month or two beforehand planning out what you want to see (and getting excited about your trip)

  • i hear seattle is very nice ;)

  • Maui for sure. Hotels will be charging their low season rates but the weather should be nice, not too hot. The Napili area is very nice for snorkeling.

  • If you want to stay in the USA, I would go with Arizona. Tucson is groovy and so is Flagstaff, Sedona, and I have been known to stand on the corner of Winslow Arizona. :)

If in Europe, You could do the south of France, I'm sure it wouldn't be too chilly. Or you could go to Jamaica or something like that.

  • Somewhere warm - how about the Caribbean?

  • Australia. It'll be springtime there, and they've got tasty beer. Plus they speak something similar to English, so there won't be too much of a language barrier.

  • Simple, you should come visit me in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'll take off work and show you the sites. Airport shuttle services, room and board are included in this package. See wasn't that simple... See you In November.

  • Vegas baby.

  • You should visit your little sister and spend some time in Washington DC....DUH!!!!

  • http://www.atvontario.com/cochranerails.htm I've never done it, but it sounds cool.

    Vieux Quebec

  • Louisiana, because it will be warm, they will need the outside money to help the economy, and your mother won't be there.

  • Mobile/Biloxi to visit James and Will

  • Go south. Florida?

  • Come visit us in our new house in NJ! There's fun stuff to do and we're close to NYC trains.

  • It depends on what you want to do and how much you want to spend. DC is nice if you haven't been there in a while. Do you enjoy the cold? You can always go to Bar Harbor, Maine. My roommates were just there a few weeks ago. They loved it.

  • canada. by train.

  • South Dakota. Cuz it's a good state and will be nicely covered in a solid sheet of funness (others may call it ice) in late November.

  • Toronto. It's great! and get a city pass. also GREAT!

  • What about the Bahamas? But beware of the sandflies which can be a real pain in the ...!

  • I heartily recommend the Caribbean.

  • New York City, obviously. I've never been and I've been aching to go there. Broadway shows, Dave Letterman, The Daily Show, need I say more?!?

  • ...ummm...Not New Orleans! I'd suggest visiting me and Craig and our new baby Eva in Utah, but you might get roped into changing a diaper. Just kidding :) Enjoy your vacation!

  • New York City for Spamalot!

  • Deee-troit - With gas prices this high, visit a unique city...

-Where else can you see a major city cruble to its core and we're not taking about the ruins of Ancient Rome

-Where else can you see carjackings right in front of your eyes at the birthplace of carjackings?

-Where else can you see and hear about execs at GM trying to think up of the latest and greatest promotion for carbuyers who are used to rebates and promotions? "Starting today, you can buy any GM car at off-the-lot depreciation prices! The Escalade, normally $35,000 at the lot will now go for it's off-the-lot depreciation price of $20,000! That's better than employee pricing! If you can find a better car (and that's all cars not in the GM family), please don't buy it!)"

-Where else can you find more temporary jobs available when the Indiana Pacers come to town? The unemployment rate goes from 10% to 0% the night that the Pacers come to town and there's more security than fans in the arena.

  • The cow says, "moooo!" But I don't know if Wisconsin is your cup of tea. Think of something you want to do and do it. Buy a sledgehammer, get some bail money together, and go visit the Precious Moments Theme Park in Missouri.... Heck, I've got $20 towards your bail here in my pocket, somewhere....

  • Well, I'd recommend Walt Disney World, except, given that I work there, I don't really want to encourage people to come to WDW, because the more people that come to the parks, the more work I have to do.

  • Topeka Kansas - why? Don't ask me, it's just a city I've never visited and figure you can give us a detailed report on where to stay and eat. ;)

  • San Francisco, CA

    My answer:

Well, November is a bit past now, but I did take an excellent vacation. I went to a bed and breakfast in Guelph, Ontario. It was nice to just relax with my girlfriend for a couple of days. We pretty much stayed indoors and read, but we also took a day trip to Niagara Falls.
