What is your favorite Monopoly token? How about your favorite Monopoly property?

The answers (in order recieved):

  • Token: Top Hat Property: Anything in the yellow area.

  • The ship, and Boardwalk, of course.

  • Hmm, haven't played it in a long time, so I'm not sure...I think I liked the dog? Or the hat? Was there a shoe, too? As for the property, I have no idea! (What kind of a question is this??)

  • Never underestimate MARVIN GARDENS! Three reasons: (1) It's key when owning the rest of the yellows, which can be strategic to winning. (2) There's a card that sends even more people to the property. (3) How can you go wrong with a place named after the fine botantical display of one of my favorite Martians! "I claim this property in the name of Mars... oooh, isn't that lovely?"

  • I like the little car. Though when I used to play Monopoly with my brother he'd call dibs on the little car and I'd take either the hat or the guy on the horse. As for property (aside from the obvious appeal of Boardwalk) for some reason I'd go with St. James Place. I don't know, it seems like I always end up with it.

  • I was always partial to the little doggie, and for some reason I also always liked those cheap properties that you first land on. I don't know why. Maybe I was a street mongrel in another life. =-)

  • If possible, I always try to play with the car. I don't know why, I've just always used that. Favorite property.. Hmm. Tough. Probably the train stations. I always try to get all of them.

  • Ugh, I suck at and dislike Monopoly! Give me a nice book, Boggle, Uno, or Connect Four instead!

  • I like the dog.... or the hat. The idea of a hat walking on it's own amuses me. My favorite property, that's easy....Saint James place...why? Because if I get Saint James Place....YOU DON'T!!!!!!

  • the dog Marvin Gardens

  • The terrier and I like buying the Marching Band (in the Michiganopoly version, not the original) like I'm some rich alumni named Don Shepard.

  • baltic. and the horse, of course.

  • The Hat and the Railroads... They don't have the big payoff of the Big Blue properties, but with one on each side they get hit more often...

  • Token - The Battleship Property - New York

  • The hat. And favorite property - Boardwalk. Although I have a fondness for St. Charles Place - the price is right and one of the Go cards leads there so you have guaranteed victims.

  • Token: The Train Engine Property? Gotta go with Illinois Ave. (although, if I'm playing Michiganopoly, then obviously my favorite property is Yost)

  • My favorite token is the shoe (there was a shoe wasn't there) and my favorite property isn't a property at all--it's FREE PARKING!!!

  • The car. Marvin Gardens.

  • I always liked the race car token. Don't really know why. Never had a favorite Monopoly property....

  • Like most people, I've always been keen on the car (although the wheelbarrow does have a certain charm to it). Mad "props" to Park Place, since my fam used to live on a similarly-named street in Sterling Heights, back in the day.

  • My favorite token is the thimble, because it makes no real sense for it to be a marker in a board game. Where else can you yell out, "ooh, I wanna be the thimble!" Favorite property, hrm. Probably 'Marvin Gardens' just because I like to say it.

  • The Dog and Park Place. Regarding property, I have expensive, but not the most expensive, taste!

    My answer:

My favorite token is the wrench that somehow migrted over from the Clue set. Amongst traditional Monopoly tokens I have a fondness for the wheelbarrow. As far as property goes, St. James Place, which my sister always beats me to.
