I am a research psychologist and statistician with special interest in research on health-related behaviors. I got my Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Ohio State in 1977 and have done post-doctoral work at the University of Michigan. I work for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Services Research and Development Program and for the the University of Michigan School of Nursing. In the School of Nursing, I direct the Statistical Consulting Team. During most of the '80s and '90s I also conducted survey research at The Institute for Social Research (ISR).
Two major recent collaborations have been with Sally Lusk, Ph.D., RN (research on use of hearing protection devices by workers) and with W. Paul Lang, DDS, MPH (research on oral health and related behaviors among Detroit-area residents).
