"Thieves' Chile" 1 lb ground beef (sirloin is good) 1/2 lb pork sausage (spicy is good) 2 med sized onions, chopped 1 lg can stewed tomatoes 1 15 oz can tomato sauce 1 lg can red kidney beans 1 T chile powder 1/2 to 1 t red pepper (medium to hot) 1 bay leaf 1/2 pkg onion soup mix 1/4 t basil 1/4 t oregano 1 t chopped garlic Mix and brown the meat; drain. Brown the onion. Add everything. Keep bubbling until ready to devour. I like it over a baked potato with cheese and sour cream.
