Cool Links
Here are some of my favorite links. Many of these are catalogues of other sites that you might find interesting. Have fun surfin'!
- Tell Your Teacher Where to Go!
- Of course, the coolest sites are the ones you create yourself! This site documents a trip I took across country a couple of years ago with a friend of mine, Fred Stillwell.
- Yahoo
- An excellent site. Created by David Filo and Jerry Yang, they have indexed more than 40,000 web sites. You can also search their list by key words.
- World Wide Web Virtual Library
- A site that organizes Web information by category. It is an excellent starting point for academic searches. It contains everything from Aboriginal Studies to Zoos.
- City.Net
- This site from Portland Oregon organizes its information by geographic locale. Its great for finding information about specific cities and communities. For instance, you can access "Food by Phone" in Ann Arbor, and have your dinner delivered while you surf!
- T.W.I.N.K.I.E.S. Project
- Have you ever been munching on a Twinkie and stopped to ask yourself, "I wonder what would happen if I dropped this thing out of a six story building?" If you have, then this is the site for you. This is a great site, even if Hostess® has threatened these guys with a lawsuit over copyright violations. (get a life Hostess®!)
