Harry Curly Award - This award is in memory of Harry Curley who dedicated his life to promoting professional canoe racing. Qualifications are a race sponsor or race director whom the membership feels has gone above the call of duty to promote professional canoe racing.

Stern Award - An award for accomplishing the unexpected in canoe racing, usually something funny, silly, or backwards.

Selection: The top "rookie" in Expert 2 division receives the award

Adams Most Improved Expert 1 - An award for the most improved paddler as judged by peers, either within one season, or over a number of seasons.

Who qualifies: Any MCRA Expert 1 member

Expert 2 Paddler of the Year - An award for the most improved MCRA paddler as judged by their peers, either within one season or over a number of seasons

Who qualifies: Any MCRA Expert 2 paddler
