A Zete He Died

To the tune of "The Eensy Weensy Spider"

A Zete he died and went to Hell and climbed a fiery hill.
He sat himself on a red-hot coal and smoked a lousy pill.
And when the devil saw him,
He said be of good cheer,
For you're among your fellow Zetes; let's open a keg of beer.

Chorus: We're the sons the sons the sons of dear old Zeta Psi.
We're here to tell we drink like Hell, whiskey, scotch, and rye.
And if the seas were bourbon,
we'd surely drink them dry
For we're the sons the sons the sons of dear old Zeta Psi.

Adam was the first man that Zeta Psi took in.
And Solomon was the wisest to ever wear the pin.
Samson was the strongest
To ever get the itch.
So when Julius Caesar came along we pledged the son of a son of a son of adear old Zeta Psi.

Chorus

Brahma, Shiva, Vishnu - All Zetes from overseas.
Buddha, Zoroaster - Were pledge brothers of these.
So if you go to Heaven,
Or if you go to Hell,
Or if you find Nirvana, you'll find Zetes up there as well.

Chorus

Whiskey is a good drink; I had some just today.
I do not go to Hahvahd; I don't drink chardonnay.
But if I had no option,
What if I could not choose?
I know that as a Zete I would drink any old kind of booze.

Chorus

MIT Rho Alpha: These Zetes were born to think:
Manganese and Iron, Cobalt, Nickel, Copper, Zinc.
But do we go to classes?
No, do we do our work?
No, why would we do that when we could sit around and jerk.

Chorus

The girls of Sigma Kappa, the girls of Alpha Phi -
We'll bag them, one by one, or maybe three by three
We also like our Thetas,
And A Chi O's are good.
We'd even let the AEPhis enjoy our Zetey wood.

Chorus

They say MIT's co-ed, but I do not agree.
There might be one or two girls there, but certainly less than three.
But as a Zete I have my needs.
Oh, what am I to do?
Well that's why we have Leslie, Wellesley, Simmons, and B.U.

Chorus

Dear brothers now the hour has come when we must part again
There's one last call for alcohol; the store will close at ten.
Tomorrow is a Sunday:
We'll need a good supply.
And don't go to the corner store; we already drank them dry.
