- Ball Discusses Teacher Assessment, Changes to Michigan Teacher Tenure
Last week, Michigan governor Rick Snyder signed new legislation that will make it easier for school districts to dismiss underperforming teachers. The method that will be used to evaluate teachers' performance has yet to be determined. Deborah Loewenberg Ball commented on the new legislation in a July 21 interview on Michigan Radio, discussing the U-M School of Education's efforts to devise new, effective teacher assessment tools.
