- Keynote Address at South African National Conference of Mathematics Education
In late June, Dean Ball traveled to South Africa to give the keynote address at the annual conference of AMESA, the Association of Mathematics Educators of South Africa (AMESA). During her travels in the country, Ball met with many educators, both in higher education institutions and in K-12 schools, learning more about the training of teachers and the problems and challenges faced by educators and policymakers in South Africa.
