Daughtr of Casper Eirich. Widow of the late John Jurk. She came to this country, direct to Sheboygan, in April, 1902. On Feb. 4,
1892, she was married to John JURK and he died in 1938. Survivors are two sons, Henry and David of Sheboygan; four daughters,
Mrs. Henry (Christina) Leonhardt, Mrs. Herbert (Selma) Schutt, Mrs. Lawrence (Marie) Gutschow of Sheboygan and Mrs. Monroe
(Emma) Strain of Corning, Cal. Four children, one brother and one sister preceded her in death. -- Jurk/Yurk is maiden name of Amelia Bare's sister-in-law, John Eurich's wife Frieda.

Speculation based on being in Saginaw census in 1920, near Andreas Eurich family, and occupation same as Fred Eurich's.
Julia Ruppel b. 1878 Reinwaldt Russia d. 1961 Saginaw m. Christian Mertz in 1897 (he died 1922); came to Crookstown MN from Russia in 1907, moved to Saginaw 1915. Mr. Mertz is listed as Christ Mertz in the 1920 Saginaw census, age 42, immigrated 1906, laborer in glass factory, wife Julia 41, daughter Amalia 17 born Russia, works in factory, David 13 born Minnesota, Melia F 12 born MN, Ernest 10 born MN. Church St John Lutheran.
Julia Mertz 1902, Crookstown MN - Mar 4 1976, Saginaw, married John L. Prueter Sr., buried Oakwood Maus.
Amelia Mertz 1907-2001 b. Crookstown MN married Fred Meyer (b in Azerbaidzahn), d. Saginaw, buried Oakwood.

Johan George Becker

Saginaw News, Feb 25 1946:"George Becker, 55, died Monday at his home, 507 Lynn. He was born Oct. 13 1890 in Russia, and in 1911 came to Bay City, where he married Sophia Eurich on Dec. 25, 1913. After their marriage, they came to Saginaw. He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church. He leaves his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Otto Kabobel, Mrs. Rudolph Zauel, Jr., Mrs. Harld Geistman, all of Saginaw, and Margaret and Betty Becker, both at home; four sons, Sgt. David Becker, reported missing in action with the army over Japan in March 1944; Seaman (1/c) George Becker Jr., with the navy in Tokyo Bay; Reinhold and Robert, both at home; one sister, Mrs. David Miller, Saginaw, and four grandchildren. The funeral will take place at 1:30 pm Wednesday at his home and at 2 at Immanuel Evangelical Church. Rev. Jacob Eichhorn will officiate and entombment will be in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may see Mr. Becker at his home after Tuesday noon."

Saginaw News, Jan 21 1966: "Fischer, Mrs. Sophia (Becker), 817 Larch Street. Passed away 8:45 pm Thursday at the Saginaw Geriatrics Home, following an illness of six years. Age 70 years. Sophia Eurich was born Oct. 26, 1895, in Orenburg, Russia, coming to the United States when a child, with her parents, in 1911, directly to Saginaw. She was married to George Becker in 1913, in Bay City. He predeceased her in 1946. She then was married to Henry Fischer in 1949, here. He passed away in 1963. She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. Surviving are three sons and five daughters, Reinhold, Robert, and George Becker Jr., Mrs. Gotto (Ella) Kabobel, Mrs. Rudy (Esther) Zauel, Mrs. Harold (Ann) Geistman, Mrs. Geno (Margaret) Malecki, Mrs. Harold (Betty) Wilcox Jr., all of Saginaw; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Gottlieb Bolger, Saginaw; Henry Eurich, Merrill; Alex Eurich, living in California. Funeral service will take place 1:30 pm Monday at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Rev. E. M. Waxler will officiate, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gugel Funeral Home after 7 pm Saturday, until 10:30 am Monday, and at the church from 12 noon Monday, until time of service. Those who so desire may give memorials to the Resurrection Lutheran Church Building Fund."
