Dear Usha,
I was very sorry you couldn't come on the tour but I'm sure there'll be
a next time because they sang splendidly. In every one of the four
concerts they received a standing ovation and had to do encores. I don't
think they could have asked for a better introduction to Spain.
They also seemed to have a good time outside of rehearsing and singing.
We covered four cities in six days and they had some free time to do
what they wanted (especially in Seville) and I think they returned with
a positive image of Spain.
Please let them know that they were an exceptional group, I very rarely
have the privilege of meeting such interesting people and I thank them
for being polite, friendly and open to new things. Chris was a star, as
ever, and was very happy with how the group performed.
And I was very happy to receive the Tufts tie you sent along with Chris.
I shall wear it with pride when I get the opportunity.
