Jill Pearon, soprano

Jill Pearon holds a bachelor’s degree in music therapy
from the University of Evansville, master’s degrees in
vocal performance and music therapy from Southern
Methodist University, and is currently pursuing her
Doctor of Musical Arts degree. She has performed
extensively as a recital artist and premiered several
20th works while at SMU. Recently, she performed the
role of Mrs. Gleaton (Susannah) with the Toledo Opera
and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) for the Bay View Music
Festival. Pearon will be working this year as a
resident artist for Toledo Opera. She is also an
active voice teacher having held faculty positions at
Capital University, Kenyon College, and is a graduate
student instructor here at the University of Michigan.
