Jennifer Goltz, soprano



Soprano Jennifer Goltz specializes in the performance of new music. She has
premiered works written for her by composers such as Evan Chambers, Carter
Pann, Kristy Kuster, John Berners, and Manly Romero. Her five-year
affiliation with Brave New Works has yielded performances of Leslie Bassett's
Pierrot Songs, William Bolcom's Briefly It Enters, George Crumb's
Madrigals, and Alberto Ginastera's Cantata para America Magica, as well as
the premieres of Carter Pann's Women and Sea Changes by Forrest Pierce. She
performed Luciano Berio's Circles with Klangforum Wien in 1999 at the
Salzburg Music Festival, at the invitation of the composer. Her performance
of Evan Chambers' Three Tannahill Songs is available on Cold Water, Dry Stone,
released in January 2001 on Albany Records. She is a doctoral fellow
in Music Theory at the University of Michigan, from which she also holds a
Masters degree in Vocal Performance.
