Deborah Chodacki, M.Mus., (clarinet) joined the faculty in 1993. She holds degrees
from the Eastman School of Music and Northwestern University. Her clarinet studies
were with Stanley Hasty and Robert Marcellus. Ms. Chodacki has performed in chamber
music festivals, in orchestras, and as soloist with orchestras in the United States
and Western Europe, including the North Carolina and Grand Rapids symphony orchestras,
the Colorado Philharmonic, the American Chamber Symphony, the Traverse Symphony Orchestra,
the Skaneateles and Spoleto festivals, and Monterey Summer Music. Prior to her appointment
at Michigan she taught at the Interlochen Arts Academy, and from 1979 to 1989 she
was on the faculty of the East Carolina University School of Music.
