We took 2 days to drive up into Saskatchewan. It is about 4 hours of driving straight north to get to Drake, where we met with Roy and Frorence Bartel. Roy is a cousin of mom (Lois). They drove us around to see the cemetery.

This map shows the area west of Drake. At least 3 Bartel sibs had farms within about a mile of each other. Hugo's brother Edwin's farm was about a half mile east of the cemetery, and sister Beena's farm (Roy's mom) was a mile west of Smiling Spruce.
