Why you play: The real question is, "Why doesn't everyone play the best sport on the planet?"
Favorite tournament: (sorry, too old to name just 1)
+ Nationals 1992 - Spike - first ever Nationals I went to! San Diego was beautiful. So was coming in 12th of 16 (we were ranked 16th).
+ All of 1996 - Nemesis - played the hardest, most dedicated ultimate I could ever imagine. It paid off. We came in 3rd in the Nation.
+ Poultry Days 1997 - Breasts and Thighs - Played with my best friends and we won the whole damn thing!
+ Regionals 1997 - Clutch - played in the biggest comeback that most every player in the Central Region will ever witness. We were down 9-1 and beat Bait 15-10 to go to Nationals. By 10-10, the sidelines and endzones must have been 3-4 people thick all watching this miraculous comeback. Thank god for fans, because everyone one of them was cheering for the underdog (us).
+ Mars 2003 - Yank My Doodle - not sure what was better, winning the tourney by crushing everyone in quarters, semis and finals, or the sweet ass margaritas we had to quench our thirst at the end of each day ; )
+ Poultry Days 2004 - Party Fowl - took a "true" Ann Arbor team and came in 13th of 60 teams and surprised all the people I wanted to surprise!
+ Every tourney Flywheel B (A-) has ever attended in all the years that UofM has ever had a second college women's team. They remind me every day why I love this sport, and I love coaching new players and hooking them on this game.
Favorite thing about Strut: Everything, but most especially everything else.

Why you play: For my absolute love of the game. Ultimate is by far the best sport in the world. The spirit, the competition, the intensity, the drive, the team, the camaraderie, the way of life.....need I say more?
Favorite tournament: Poultry Days
Favorite thing about Strut: My teammates...they constantly give 110%, have an amazing desire to learn, to improve and to win. Even though we work hard and play hard as a team, we always have positive attitudes and have fun. I look forward to all of the practices, workouts and tourneys because I always have such a great time with everyone. I don't even mind the drive this year!!! Power to the purple!!!

Why you play: Fresh air and sunshine, cool people, exercise, road trips
Favorite tournament: A toss-up between Gender Blender, Sandblast and Motown.
Favorite thing about Strut: The combination of player dedication and lack of bitchiness is truly amazing. Strut love, baby!
Random Fact: I *don't* actually enjoy the workouts I design for the team. Sheesh - that would make me insane. I do enjoy the effects of the workouts.

Why you play: I play ultimate because I'm a good dog... I beg for discs to be
thrown at me. I like to run. I chase down discs. And I also happily drool all
over the disc and myself after making the catch. I could do this all day.
Favorite tournament: The next tournament.
Favorite thing about Strut: Brings out the best in people (i.e. desire to
compete yet demonstrate good spirit, to work hard, to have fun, to support one
another, to be a better ultimate player, to be a better person, etc.)
Random fact: The preferred frequency of human bouncing is a little faster than 2
Hz. Try it out. A bounce is like a two-footed hop in place (yes, there is an
aerial phase). Bounce at a pace that feels easiest. Count number of bounces
in a 10 second period. Most likely, it'll be around 20-25 bounces. If not,
you're an anomaly...you freak.
