University of Fort Hare | Alice, Eastern Cape, South Africa
In the summer of 2007, Margaret Hedstrom and David Wallace, professors of archives at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, directed a project to help create a records program at the University of Fort Hare, in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
While there, I had the privilege of working with a colleague and students and staff at Fort Hare to compile a history of the organization. From there, in consultation with the university librarian, we collected potential subject areas for digitization. Finally, we selected documents that provided evidence of these events. Bentley Historical Library | Ann Arbor, Michigan
For this project, directed by Nancy Bartlett and Brian Williams at the Bentley Historical Library, I surveyed the institution's collections of World Wars I and II materials with the aim of creating a pathfinder that describes the University of Michigan's involvement in military matters and the post-war military-industrial comples.
