Student Reference Librarian, University of Michigan Libraries, Ann Arbor, MI - August 2006 - Present
Conducted reference interviews with members of the university community in person and via IM and phone. Provided extended research help through university's Research Consultation Program. Taught workshops on citation software and iibrary resources.

Consultant, Freedom from Hunger - Davis, CA - July, August 2007
Oversaw redesign of records portal, which included the appraisal of all organizational records, digital and physical. Supervised ten interns and composed organizational policies, including a records retention schedule, document submission guidelines and preservation needs.

Student Archivist, University of Fort Hare - Eastern Cape, South Africa - May, June 2007
Processed unsorted files at a historically disadvantaged university. Selected records for digitization that exemplified the university's rich history of scholarship, student protest, struggle against apartheid, and training of southern African leaders. Wrote organizational history and extensive plan for digitizing these materials.

Discovered and categorized extensive collection of World Wars I and II materials by geographic location, subject and time period. Designed web pathfinder to most relevant collections.

Spent one week creating a web lesson about libraries and library research.

Editorial Intern, The Great Books Foundation, Chicago, IL - Summer 2006
Researched facts and themes for a variety of feature-length magazine articles; edited articles for style and content. Also proofread manuscripts for Great Books Foundation publications.

Managing Editor, Haverford and Bryn Mawr College News, Bryn Mawr, PA - 2004-2005
Managed editorial, writing and photographic staff of 50 students. Orchestrated beginning-of-year training camp featuring alumni from the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Composed and produced 50-page publication style guide. Raised funds for and oversaw extensive newsroom renovations.
