| May, 2008 | Upcoming dates for the fall 2008 meeting as well as Music History Teaching Day have been announced. The next chapter meeting will take place Oct. 4 and 5 at National Louis in Chicago; Teaching Music History Day will be Sept. 13 at DePauw University in Indiana. |
| April, 2008 | It's time again for Chapter elections, please see 2008 elections page for the slate of candidates and send your vote in via email or US mail. All members in good standing can and should vote. |
| January, 2008 | The spring meeting will be hosted by Matthew Steel at Western Michigan University on April 26 and 27, 2008. See the spring meeting website for details. |
| August, 2007 | Due to the rescheduling of the Chicago Marathon and the resulting increase in hotel rates, the fall meeting site has been shifted to the National-Louis University North Shore Campus in northern Chicago (officially Skokie Illinois). See the meeting page for more information. |
| May, 2007 | Joseph Jones (U. Illinois) and Maria Cristina Fava (Eastman) have been awarded the 2006-07 student paper prizes; see Awards for details. Timothy Dickey has completed the 2007 Newsletter of member activities. |

| December, 2006 | Joseph Jones (U.Illinois) has created a facebook group for the Chapter. There is also a group for the national AMS. Logon and search for "AMS Midwest Chapter" and "AMS." |
