Teaching
I teach a wide range of classes in the Department of Sociology and the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
In sociology, I teach large, lower-divisions classes, including introduction to sociology and race and ethnic relations. I also teach smaller classes, such as the honors sequence for graduating seniors. My PhD-level teaching includes courses on American political development and political sociology.
At the Ford School, I teach a semi-regular course on race and civil rights policy. In future semesters, I hope to teach a graduate class on the politics of health care policy as well as lower-division class on public policy in the United States since the New Deal.
