Welcome to Chaolong Wang's Homepage
I am currently a research fellow at Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, working on statistical genetics with Drs. Xihong Lin and Liming Liang. From 2008 to 2012, I went to graduate school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics, and master's degrees in Statistics and Bioinformatics. For Ph.D. research, I studied population genetics with Dr. Noah Rosenberg, focusing on developing statistical methods to analyze human genetic variation from diverse populations. In the last year of my Ph.D., I also worked with Drs. Gonçalo Abecasis and Sebastian Zöllner on developing methods for ancestry inference from next generation sequencing. In 2008, I received my bachelor's degree in Physics from Peking University in Beijing, China. [My Harvard webpage].
