My wife descended from the Turner family. I have a wonderful book on the Turner family that I have written. They had seven children. Their last child was William Jefferson Gearhart. Some other person we all know is named William Jefferson (Clinton). Prompt me back and I will get the information to you on their children. Let me know if you have an interest in my book. It is $55.00 plus $5.00 postage. I will gladly share information with you for free. Danny A. I am specifically looking for my ancestor, Exonia (or Exona or Axona) Alicia Gearhart, b. 1837 in IL; her parents were both born in Tennessee. I do not know if she descended from Valentine and Exonia Packwood Gearhart or not, but if she did, she would likely be a grandchild. I have the names of the children of William Jefferson and George W. But still need the names of the children of Valentine, Jr (b. 1813 in TN). According to my understanding, Valentine and Exony moved from Virginia to Tennessee and apparently their last 3 children were born there. However, I'm not certain if I know exactly who the Tennessee-born children were, except for Valentine, Jr., and George W. My Exonia married John William (Jack) Gaunt abt. 1855 and they lived the rest of their lives in Dallas County, Missouri and had 6 children there. If indeed it turns out that my Exonia was a descendent of Valentine and Exony Gearhart (from Virginia - Tennessee) then I would very much be interested in a copy of your book. Can you tell me if my Exonia Alicia Gearhart (b. 1837 in IL) turns up anywhere in your research? Thank you for your note and your assistance. -----Original Message----- From: McBee49@aol.com To: BTRVETC-L@genealogy.org Date: Thursday, January 28, 1999 11:52 PM Subject: Re: BTRVETC-L Digest V99 #5 >I have information on Exony and Valentine. You could probably spend another 50 years gathering all for the Burnetts, however June Baldwin Bork has made the Burnett History a lifetime work... if my recall is correct, it is a three volume work, possibly more at this point. I have found her to be very forth coming with her resources, a very grand and gracious lady. I have often said and believe... the is not a "Burnett" tree that does not contain this lady's fingerprint. _Mitosis_ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Jan 1999 21:48:33 EST From: McBee49@aol.com To: btrvetc-l@genealogy.org Subject: Re: BTRVETC-L Digest V99 #5 Message-ID: <44c7d598.36b51601@aol.com> Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit I don't have anything on your Exonia Alicia Gearhart. I only have the children of William Jefferson Gearhart. I would love to see the children of George W. Gearhart. I also have children of Valentine Gearhart and Exonia Packwood listed as Peter, John, Valentine Jr., Samuel and Edith (besides William Jefferson Gearhart and George W. Gearhart). I do not have any children or wives listed for the other children. Who did Exonia Alicia Gearhart belong too? Would love to see the wife and children of George Gearhart.
