Jeremiah Burnett and Nancy Turner. Capt. Jeremiah was son of Samuel Burnett and Lavinia Cox; Samuel Burnett was son of Jeremiah Burnett and Effariah Crowley. I am in the process of writing a new book and this family will be included. I am a desc. of Jeremiah Burnett III and Effariah "Effie" Crowley, dau of Samuel Crowley and Elizabeth Strong. Samuel Crowley was the first man to die in the Revolutionary War at the Battle of Point Pleasant fought 10 Oct 1774, now in Mason Co, W.Va. /June Bork JohneP4596@aol.com wrote: > Thought I was already subscribed, but evidently not, so had to resubscribe in > order to relay this humorous story about a well-known Burnett. I hope soon to be answering email questions sent from a lot of you and adding more to "our" Burnett/e web site. For the benefit of all the new people here on the list I have created a Burnett/e web site you might want to see. There, some of my Burnett info is listed and a lot of other Burnett/e web sites. NOT all are related to John Burnett, I. Might be worth your time to check them all out. You never know. I am looking for other Burnett web sites too, so if you have or know of one not listed please let me know. There is also a Burnett/e guest book where a lot of people have posted looking for ancestors. A bit long but there just might be a post there from someone looking for the same ancestors as you are. Web site is located at, http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/3348/ Then just scroll dow a bit and click on the surname BURNETT. Sincerely, Cuzin Waddie -------------------------------- End of btrvetc-d Digest V99 Issue #50 *************************************
