I suggest you complain to AOL (loudly!), or use an ISP that doesn't modify emails. Thomas Houston Burnett's wife was Nancy Caroline Parks and they were married in December 1841 in Williamson Co IL. Nancy Caroline Parks was the daughter of Hugh Parks and Nancy Corder, who moved to IL from Wilson Co TN in the very early 1820's. Mary Elizabeth Stalcup is buried in Coal Bank Springs Cemetery, Williamson Co IL. Her tombstone reads: Elizabeth, Wife of William. Died 15 April 1863 aged 81 years. Her husband, William, was also her first cousin, and her married and maiden names are the same. She was originally buried in Parks-Burnett Cemetery with the family of James R. Burnett, who is also from Smith Co TN. They were all reinterred by the coal company in the 1960's. His wife, Mary Jane McMurry, has an aunt, Alethea McMurry Blackwell, that married William Thomas Stalcup around 1835 in Smith Co TN, the son of this Mary Elizabeth Stalcup, but I can't find a connection between the Burnett's and the Stalcup's other than James' wife's uncle by marriage is a Stalcup. So why was Mary Elizabeth Stalcup living with Thomas Houston Burnett instead of Mary Jane McMurry Burnett, a widow with small children living nearby? Can anyone shed light on this mystery? Boyd, m. who Mahala Hooker, 13 Oct 1870. Marriage record lists his parents as Spencer and Nancy Boyd. The files that I extracted and published were taken from Marriage Book #3, this record from pg. # 94. While I do make mistakes, I really don't pull names from a hat.
