btrvetc-d Digest Volume 98 : Issue 5 Today's Topics: Turners buried in Franklin Co., TN Re: Turners buried in Franklin Co., TN Turner Cemetery file Eliz Turner; John I. Packwood Descendant files Administrivia: for the Burnett/Turner/Ross/Via/Etc Mailing List (BTRVETC-L) We became automated 19 Jan 1998, with everyone that had been on Nyla Creed DePauk's list of subscribers being subscribed to the digest, which (kind) replaces the compilations. There is also a regular list, where you receive messages one at a time. If you wish that version, unsubscribe from the digest, and subscribe to the regular list (see below). Please do not send your emails to Nyla any longer; if you do, she will send them to the list. Please post your messages to: btrvetc-l@genealogy.org (that's a lowercase ell, not a number one.) Some of her children lived there, having families of their own, before moving to MO and Coffee County, TN. I do not know who these Turners are but hope that this information might be useful to someone. Please convert it to plain text and resend. I'm sure folks will want to be able to read it. Duh! (as my daughter would say. :-)) Folks, I've made a link to Tessy's file on the web page below: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~cgaunt/etc/etc.html It's called "Turner Cemetery Records of Franklin County, Tennessee". Gaunt" To: btrvetc-l@genealogy.org Subject: Eliz Turner; John I. Packwood Descendant files Message-ID: Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Hi, Folks, On the Burnett/Turner/Via/Ross/Etc/Etc page at http://www-personal.umich.edu/~cgaunt/etc/etc.html I've added links to some files that Tessy McMillan sent me. They are: Descendants of Elizabeth Turner, daughter of Shadrack Turner http://www.genealogy.org/~gaunt/turner/elizturn.txt Descendants of John Ira Packwood http://www.genealogy.org/~gaunt/packwood/jip.txt (John Ira is Elizabeth's grandson through Elisha and Mary (Polly) Burnett Packwood.) I've not had a chance to go through these files except briefly. They came to me in rich text format, and I converted them to text using Microsoft Word 7.0 and stuck them on the Genealogy Online server, since my directory space is getting cramped. I have the links described as the info coming from Tessy McMillan, but I believe she got it from someone else. Tessy, should that info be reflected in the description of the link? And do you want your email address given on the web page? BTW, John Ira is my line, and I did notice that his first wife's name is given as Abigail Finder. It should be Tinder. But that's all I had time to check! :-) Chris Christine Gaunt, cgaunt@umich.edu or gaunt@genealogy.org Campbell-L and BTRVETC-L listowner Co-compiler of Genealogy Resources on the Internet Web: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~cgaunt/gen_int1.html File (1.8M): via autoreply from gresinet.txt@genealogy.org -------------------------------- End of btrvetc-d Digest V98 Issue #5 ************************************
