I'm hoping maybe there's someone out there. I haven't posted in some time. My g-g-g-grandfather was John Greenberry BURNETT (1810-1893). According to a letter he wrote on his 80th birthday, he was born in Sullivan County, TN where he lived his entire life. He married (1) Letitia Ann GODSEY and (2) Rebekah Ann MOSS. He servied in the Cherokee Indian Removal and in fact his 80th Birthday letter (probably written by a grandson) is a sort of way to cleanse his guilt. He and Letitia had many children including Decatur, John, Simon, Martin, Andrew, Elizabeth... According to his own writing he grew up near Beaver Creek in Sullivan County, TN (right along the current US 11-E between Bristol and Johnson City, TN. Family legend says his family were Irish but no proof... Is anyone researching John ?? Please contact me directly... gdburnette@aol.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 15 Jul 1998 00:07:16 EDT From: To: BTRVETC-L@genealogy.org Cc: LBlank@aol.com Subject: Descendants of Louisa Jane Pedigo Message-ID: <556b7dda.35ac2af5@aol.com> Content-type: multipart/mixed; boundary="part0_900475636_boundary" This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --part0_900475636_boundary Content-ID: <0_900475636@inet_out.mail.aol.com.1> Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Greetings to Everyone: Larry Blank, a Pedigo descendant, has shared info on his Pedigo line. I've encouraged Sharon to join our BTRVETC-L. It was the Burnett family in Patrick Co. Va. I have been researching the Burnetts. Mine is John Burnett who married Nancy Pendleton in 1806. So far I only have two of their children Mary who married Jonathan Boyd and Samuel. They with Nancy because John had died by 1828 moved to Russell Co. VA.
