However, was not aware it was solid enough to "publish" at this time. If that is the case ( noted the * on names) would you point me to these sources in order that I may correct my tree accordingly. Some of the subscribers may be interested. If there is enough response, the Allied Families may print additional copies. Thanks, David R. Jones, Jr. NEW BOOK AVAILABLE FROM PATRICK AND HENRY COUNTY ALLIED FAMILIES The Patrick - Henry Allied Families has published another book of members genealogies representing the founding families of Patrick and Henry Counties in Virginia. The 255 page books includes families and ancestors submitted by about 150 members of the organization. Many listings include families back to the earliest know ancestor in the county all the way up to those born in 1998. Also included are the family histories of each of the Honorees from the annual meetings starting with the first Honoree at the 1952 gathering. The Patrick - Henry Allied Families represents the following families in Patrick and Henry Counties... ANDERSON, BRAMMER, BURNETT, CORN, HANCOCK, HATCHER, HOUCHINS, JAMISON, PEDIGO, PENDLETON, PILSON, PRICE, ROSS, STOVALL, TURNER, VIA and WOOD along with collateral families by marriage. Members were solicited to provide histories of Family Members in the organization to form a scrapbook of the families. Only 100 copies were printed for sale at the June 21st, 1998 annual meeting at Fairystone State Park in Patrick County, VA. It is my understanding there are only 20 copies remaining available as of June 27. The 255 pages are three- hole punched and provided in a binder. Cost is $20.00 plus $3.50 postage and mailing available on a first come basis (same price as members). Check availability before ordering with Barbara Pedigo Dillon, P.O. Box 191, Vinton, VA 24179. Please include an SASE. I just started working through the book and estimate I will add over 600 people to my computer database. I have been able to tie together several lines that were previously deadended in my records. In addition, some of the stories and memories included are priceless. David R.
