Thanks for the responses to help in clearing up our side of the family.

Along with my Mother-in-law, trying to put this all together.  On the
Burnett side we believe that Virgil Tyler Burnett is the son of Lewis
Burnett and Nancy Moran.  What I am finding is a Lewis Burnett married
to a Susannah Cannady.  Was Lewis married a second time? Can anyone help
us here?

The VIa side, Rueben Via and Mary E SPencer are the parents of Mary
Frances Elizabeth Via Burnett.  Any info on this Rueben Via would be
appreciated.  Or where can we go to find this info.

Hi All
I am new to this list, however I have been researching the Burnett lines for
about 13
years.  My brick wall is the parents of Melissa M. Daniel, wife of Isaac
Burnett II,
son of Cornelius Burnett and Margaret Turner.  I have had William Daniel as
Melissa's father and Susan BARTON as her mother. Recently I ran across
information that says her mother was SUSANNAH BURTON, daughter of
Ambrose Burton Sr. and Caty Wisdom.

Does anyone have the correct information on Susan/Susannah's  family?

Pam,

  I am passing your BURNETT note alont to the BTRVETC list (Burnett, Turner, 
Ross, Via etc) and maybe one of them will contact you. Most of the BURNETTS 
on this list had BURNETTS in Tennessee among other states, especially during 
the period you mention, antebellum (WBTS). 

CAN someone help Pam?
