I have not researched this line but have been tieing together info as I came across it. I understand from several people there are problems and I can only plead guilty (its not my family, hopefully someone will post more info soon) (Nyla stop smiling ;-) As I have said in all my big postings, please consider the info I put on as a starting point for your own research, do not just accept it as fact. There is much that is educated guesses, family tradition and just bad info. In the case of the WOOD family, I understand there to be problems, accepted here locally in WOOD territory as fact, that are in error and can apparently be traced to one book that had the info wrong. Hopefully, we can get some more up-to-date info in the near future. Some corrections and additional information on Lewis are: his daughter Evaline Turner, Number 76, and her husband Sylvestor Murray had the following children: F. Nancy E. b. 1831, M. Beverly W. b. 1833, M. Lewis T. b. 1835, M. Hilery M. b. 1837, M. Flemuel F. b. 1839, M. Andrew Jackson b. 1844, M. Sylvestor b. 1848 and F. Edney b. 1853. (that is 2 girls and 6 boys) All the children were born in Dallas Co., Alabama except Edney who was born in DeSoto Parish, La. (sources for this information are available for anyone reseaching this line) Their son Lewis Turner Murray was my mothers great grandfather. Lewis also had a relationship with Margarette, a negro woman, and this union produced 2 sons between 1820 - 1825. I am still searching for more information on these cousins. Lewis left 15 acreas for the exclusive use of Margarette and her children in his will dated 5-5-1847 from Linclon Co., Georgia. Nyla - thank you for all the information that you publish from all of us. It has been very helpful to me. I am still trying to sort out Meshack ancestors - there seems to be some confusion on who his parents were. The latest Comps's have helped I think - smile.
