I am looking for some information on the Via family. The particuliar line I am researching is from Virginia. Some names I am researching are the family of Percy Via who married Claire Hunt, one of their children is Woodrow Wilson Via. I think this family originated around Charlottesville. Any family information would be useful. Via is the family name of my mother. Having only lived in southern Cal and Arizona, I find most people here to be somewhat distant. Anyway, full time school, full time work, hubby and 3 little ones keep me MORE than busy. I will post another e-mail in the future about my Turner line. I would desperately LOVE to find a connection with the fine folks on your list. Attending a Turner reunion would also be great. There MUST be a connection somewhere down the line. I almost feel like an orphan as I was on 3 genealogy lists and not one "hit". I'm not one to give up, however. I'll be in touch soon. My best regards, Sharron Krueger in Tucson Arizona =============== Sharon: I look forward to hearing about your line. Looking forward to learning about your line. Let's tell people about your line. Who knows when someone looking for the same Turners might see your eMail. I'm not certain if being from the East or the West makes that much difference. I really enjoy this list and all the people. There's about 185 folks at least on this list. Some come, some go, but the majority of us are still here. Without a doubt, this is the greatest bunch of people you'd find anywhere. We have folks from one end of the country to the other, and everyone is nice. Whether from the East or the West, the North or the South, everyone is looking for that family connection. Looking forward to receiving your information. Nyla =================== Subj: Mailing list Date: 97-10-23 21:48:00 EDT From: EMason2372 To: NCreed1 Someone in chat room give me your email address. June herself is not online but if someone wants her address I would be glad to pass it on. She says:"The ancesry of our first JOHN BURNETT HAS BEEN FOUND! He was christened on Christmas Day, 1610. Enclosed is a chart...." at any rate, she offers to give details on how she found all this after years and years of research. I can send you a copy by scanner attatchment (2) if you are a descendant of this BURNETT. For years they have been trying to prove that he was a BURNETT of LEYS or NOT a BURNETT of LEYS, the cavalier under Charles I who had one of the first land patents in this country.
