Is the listing beginning with Robert Burnett of 1516 correct? Did you get the references requested? In the listing in #153, where can you confirm correct data - i.e. does it begin with Thomas, chr 2 Sep 15,1574? I don't know if there is a TURNER - HOLLAND connection, but I'm grasping at straws. My Joseph TURNER (d. 1812, Hancock Co., GA) had a dau. named Hollandbury (and, of course, it's spelled various ways in will and estate records). Joseph actually called this dau. Hollona in his will, but her siblings' wills and her husband's will, refer to her as Hollandbury. Hollandbury / Hollona TURNER m. Singleton HOLT, son of Simon HOLT & Sarah HINES. If anyone is aware of a HOLLAND - TURNER connection -- of any sort -- I'd *really* appreciate a clue. Regards, Sarah Sharpless sarahs1924@aol.com ====================== Subj: TURNER Date: 97-08-05 09:55:04 EDT From: jbbork@ix.netcom.com I received message of an error that I submitted in Comp 158 regarding Adam Turner's children, ie: MARTHA TURNER, b. 22 May 1801 Patrick Co, Va, is actually MATTHEW TURNER, b. 22 May 1801 on the original Bible Record. Can anyone clarify this and who did Matthew marry?? First I have heard of it. Thanks. =================== Subj: GATEWOOD Date: 97-08-05 12:26:51 EDT From: jbbork@ix.netcom.com To: NCreed1@aol.com In JOHN and AMY GATEWOOD and THEIR DESCENDANTS 1666-1986 by Carol Gothberg, p.211-212: "John and Amy Gatewood had son HENRY GATEWOOD, b. 16__ Rappahannock Co, Va; Will proved 18 Dec 1777 Spotsylvania Co, Va (WB E:269); names wife Tabitha [2nd wife] and ch: WILLIAM JR, Austin & Ambrose; sons Peter, Larkin, Richard, Henry Jr; daus Keziah Sandidge, Dorothy Foster.
