ABOUT the AUTHOR

Charles and Irene Butter, October, 2000

Charles M. Butter is Emeritus Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience, at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). He  taught and performed research on brain, behavior and mental processes at the University of Michigan for 38 years. His research interests include brain mechanisms of visual attention, space perception, and emotional behavior (see author's CV).  He conducted this research in monkeys, and in humans with brain damage following stroke or Alzheimer’s disease.
