The Keihan Line is another private railway running throughout the city of Otsu and into Kyoto and Osaka. Trains bound for Kyoto Shiyakusho Mae () can be taken from Hama Otsu or Keihan Yamashina to go to Keihan Sanjo Station. To get to Keihan Yamashina from JR Yamashina, exit the JR station and the Keihan Station will be right in front of you (Tip: If you take the stairs down to the subway station, it is a little cheaper than taking the Keihan Railway). The following station list is for semi-express trains. It includes the major stops on the line. Local trains may stop at a few more stations, but will end up at the same place, provided you are riding a train bound for Kyoto Shiyakusho Mae. When returning from Sanjo, those who will only go as far as Yamashina Station and then switch to the JR lines should ride trains bound for Daigo(). While it is possible to take either the trains heading for Daigo or the trains heading for Hama Otsu, on trains bound for Hama Otsu the price is slightly higher.
