Angel-
dust enchantress
seduces her into
ecstasy then leaves her chasing
devils.
Just out
of the corner
of her eye she sees them
slip beyond reality out
of sight.
Deborah Beachboard started writing poetry in 1991. She subsequently took a short story writing course from Long Ridge Writing Group, but her focus has remained poetry. Deborah has had many, many poems published in small press journals, and most currently, online.
Her first publication appeared in The Christian Way. The credits of which she is most proud are Modern Haiku, Tintern Abbey, Poetic Page, and Sijo West. Most currently her poetry has appeared online in Amaze: The Cinquain Journal, Short Stuff, and Raven Electrick.
Deborah is a member of United Amateur Press Association. In addition, she is active in Phoenix APA, Wapa. She is also a member of the Science Fiction Poetry Association.
Deborah makes her home in the Pacific Northwest with husband Jim, four {teenage!} foster sons, three dogs and a cat.
