Why the ads?

rejection

By Eric T. Marin

a troll's skin
so thick it turns
axes
swords
bullets

but love spurned
by a pale waif
slices
chops
punctures

her rejection leaves
mocking graffiti
penciled
carved
painted

on the walls of the
troll's stone heart
cracked
crushed
desolate
