On this Web page the terms Palm (organizer), Pilot, and PalmPilot are
used interchangeably
Here is a list of software that may be useful for your Palm (PalmPilot)
Organzier.
This listing does not constitute an endorsement of these products
Useful Utilities
- JFILE
JFile is a database program. There are many databases available that have
been created by independant users for this program. I created my own
database using JFile to track my OB/Gyn surgeries and deliveries using
this program. There are many available databases that are either freeware
or shareware. Some examples are lists of drugs, immunization schedules,
and patient logs. There are really too many to list here. You can import
databases from other file formats to this program using the available
converters.
- TealDoc or AportisDoc
These programs are viewers for Doc files. Doc files are a common file
format to view mostly text information that is available for your Pilot.
There are literally too many Doc files to list. Utilities are
available to create your own Doc files from Word documents, text files, or
even HTML or web pages.
The best feature of these basic utilities is that there are many reference
files that have been created for these programs and many are available
free on the web. Also you can create your own files to meet your own
needs. (Which is perhaps why most of the available data files are
specialty resources)
Medical Software
I have not personally reviewed these titles but I've heard some things
about them through the grapevine, and they look like they are at least
worth a look.
