Silent students demonstrate about nothing Students are planning a silent demonstration about nothing. Organiser Gwynn Wick, a Plymouth University arts student, says she wants to create "total stillness". Ms Wick also wants protesters at Wednesday's demonstration to carry blank banners. She said: "It is really my attempt at getting people to realise that we all have the right to believe in our own reality. "Too often we are influenced by false information or opinionated information, which can be extremely misleading. "My opinion is that there is really no such thing as nothing, for nothing is the absence of something. "It is the idea behind something that is important and in order for the general public to access the ideal world, total stillness is needed." Ms Wick, 21, from Stockholm, studies at the Faculty of Arts and Education. The protest will take about 45 minutes and follow a route from Topsham Road to the top of South Street in the city centre, Devon Today reports. Copyright 2001 Ananova Ltd
