Woman sues for loss of her monkey A New Zealand woman is suing the BBC for the loss of her monkey. Jacquie Grant of Hokitika is seeking compensation because she says the BBC lost her monkey, Tuku, during filming of The Lost World television series. The Moana Zoo owner says the company made two compensation offers last week, but negotiations have now broken down. She told The Press the offers did not come close to the undisclosed sum the zoo was seeking and she plans to start legal action next week. Ms Grant's capuchin monkey escaped during filming at Charleston, on the island's West Coast, a month ago. The monkey has not been recovered despite the company employing a trapper to find him.
