Bad Traders

I never traded with Aaron. I'm hoping nobody ever has. He claimed to have "Quiet and other Songs" the Siamese Dream demo, and was collecting money for it. This scam went on for about a month, and he claims it was all a joke since he was "using an address that didn't exist."

He claimed to set up trades to show hoarders a lesson. I set up a trade with him, not knowing what he would do. He first wanted help making vcd's. That's why I contacted him, to help him out. I will never do that again. He then wanted to talk on ICQ, I obliged. I sent him some software through ICQ. He seemed grateful. I felt proud that I was helping out a fellow fan. He then asked about setting up a trade for what I have. He showed me his list, which included mostly Arising shows. So i traded for almost everything he had, since I was Arising-less. He made me promise to send out on the following monday. Sure, no problem. I did. No response for a week. He then said he would send again. I said, cool. He never did. Then it exploded on amsp that he was a bad trader and some conversations with him revealed his phone number and his reasons for ripping people off. I ICQ'd him regarding all of this. He said "You are a good guy, I will send you what I owe you, 10 dollars." I thought, that was better than nothing. He also made me promise to not mention the money to anyone. I never received the money.

"Sunna" is/was a regular poster on blamo.org messageboards. I approached him for a trade, so I didn't think anything of his request for me to send first. I sent first, April 6th '01. On May 18th '01, I finally received an excuse from Jon. He claims: "well i only just got this so your cds have only just gone out. you will have them soon." I emailed him a few weeks following this email and I've yet to get a response. On some of the boards, he made a public apology. This should never have happened. He should have emailed the traders individually. I can handle a good excuse, like a close friend dying, but I can't handle being ignore and him allowing a group apology to excuse his actions. On many of the boards, others are beginning to sound suspicious of him as well. So, from the 6 persons I count that haven't received a thing from him plus myself, is enough to list him as a bad trader. Rule #45 of trading is "always keep in touch with the other trader." Sorry jonny-boy, you suck!

Sorry to list this guy here, but he deserves it until he sends me my stuff. He wanted to trade me for a rare tape back in july. I told him to send his items first since it was a rare trade and i didn't want to get ripped off. He agreed. 2 months later, i asked if he was going to mail his items out. He said sure, and got my address. 2 months after that and numerous emails, i decided to just send the tapes i made back in july to him, thinking that he'd get his ass in gear and mail me mine. He hasn't yet. It's been 4 months and I'm still waiting, and he still hasn't replied to his email, or updated his page. Yet, i wonder why he moved his page, and where did he find the time to move it, if he doesn't have time to mail his stuff out.
UPDATE: A year later, he still hasn't replied to my emails. Although he does read the newsgroup, so I know he still exists.

This guy ripped off many people on IRC. He has many aliases, and has collected many bootlegs. He got a copy of 10/18/97 from me. I recently decided to email his email address (a year later) and question his motives. However his MOTHER replied to my email wondering what the trade was about. I explained to her, and she told me that this Dave/Jeff person will have his internet priveleges taken away. She also told me that she doesn't recognize the address that I listed for her. Their person/mother sounded very convincing, and I almost believe her.
