Diane J. Tider

Diane Tider, MPH, is the Clinical Research Manager at Mount Sinai Medical Center. A longtime advocate of comprehensive health education, Diane Tider graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor with a dual degree in Women's Health Studies and English Literature. Soon after, she moved to New York and found her niche in HIV research, working for a consortium at Hunter College, where she completed her Master's in Public Health in 2005.

After a brief stint in pharmaceutical market research, Diane joined the staff at Mount Sinai Medical Center's AIDS Center in 2006, where she manages several programs including the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Screening and Treatment Initiative, and the HIV and Hepatitis C Co-Infection Clinic, in addition to grant writing and research presentation.

Diane's main research interest focuses on knowledge and education about HPV-related cancers, and was piqued while writing a paper on cervical cancer misinformation during graduate school. She translated this research into a presentation on MSM and HPV, winning the Walter J. Lear MD Outstanding Student Research Award in 2003, and published the resultant brief report in the International Journal of STD & AIDS. Diane lives in the New York City area and is a jewelry designer in her spare time.
