Political Map of the World,
with Links to Country Profiles I created this imagemap as an overlay to the CIA's
world map. Click on the country names for quick access to country profiles
from the CIA World Factbook, Wikipedia, or Encyclopedia Britannica (EB access
requires an account or proxy access through your campus server). Country Codes Commonly used in Political Science (coming soon) Merging cross-national datasets requires that you
match on a unique country identifier. This table lists several commonly used
country codes, including those used by COW, Polity, and UNDP. Also listed are
two-letter ISO (3166-1 alpha-2), three-letter ISO (3166-1 alpha-3), and
three-digit numeric ISO (3166-1 numeric). The table was created for my own
work so you may need to adapt it for your own purposes. Nunavik Arctic Survival Training Center I admire the example of culturally appropriate development
embodied by NASTC. If you ever need to build an igloo, these are the guys you
want to learn from. I have been privileged to work with them in recent years.
