I am invested in building a community which supports the participation of gender minorities in mathematics. In early 2017 I began a gender transition and have since been part of an ongoing discussion with the Michigan student chapter of the AWM on the climate of the department for LGBTQ+ individuals. To broaden this conversation, I invite any trans and gender nonconforming mathematicians to contact me by email.

At Michigan, I have helped facilitate activities for the FEMMES (Females Excelling More in Math, Engineering, and the Sciences) Capstone event which brings 4th-6th grade girls to the U of M campus for a day of STEM-themed activities.

As a graduate student, I was president of the Tufts Student Chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics. I helped organize outreach activities at local high schools and brought a guest panel of women in mathematics from the greater Boston area to Tufts to share their experience and advice. I have also connected the Tufts student chapter of the AWM with Girl's Angle, a Cambridge based non-profit which provides a safe space for middle and high school girls to explore mathematics.
