Joan R. Glaus, age 78, of Red Wing and formerly of Maiden Rock, died on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, at the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. Joan was born the daughter of William and Ruth (Jahnke) Marcks on November 28, 1928, in rural Pepin, Wisconsin. She went to Durand High School. On Sept. 5, 1945, Joan was married to Franklin C. Glaus. Joan lived in rural Maiden Rock until 1987, when she moved to Red Wing. She enjoyed getting together with the Maiden Rock Area Seniors, loved spending time with her family, gardening and reading.
